MAATEE&SONS EX. H KANOKO POLO SHIRT

Our custom-made Kanoko polo shirt by MAATEE&SONS has arrived.

Custom-made items are often standard models made with different fabrics or in custom colors, but this time we had an item that is not available in the regular collection made for us.

The project began after I consulted with Matsumura-san because I couldn't find a polo shirt I personally wanted.

The fabric was also made specifically for this polo shirt, making it a completely exclusive custom-made item available only at our store.

We aimed for a texture that wouldn't immediately look like Kanoko fabric at first glance, so we ordered several fabric samples and used one that met our standards as the basis for production.

So-called Kanoko fabric used for polo shirts often has a strong sporty feel and inevitably looks a bit dated.

To avoid that, this time we used extra-long cotton yarn and knitted it with a high gauge using 60-count single yarn. The key is using single yarn; if it were knitted with twisted yarn instead, it would end up looking like a typical dated Kanoko polo shirt.

The style is based on the skipper style previously offered by MAATEE, and the collar was inspired by Hermès polo shirts to create a knit polo-like look.

I am 171 cm tall and wear size 2.

The fit is generous so that it stays away from the skin and doesn't stick.
