NICENESS Fireman Denim Trousers "JOSEPH"

The new denim style for this season, “JOSEPH,” is back in stock in size M only.

Dyed with indigo from India and sanforized to prevent shrinkage, it was made with 1940s denim in mind.

The distinctive stitching on the front slash pockets is inspired by fireman denim, while the five-pocket design with a coin pocket and back pockets is inspired by American denim. These details come together in this original NICENESS design.

The pair on the left is new; the pair on the right is my own, worn for about two months.

New

My own

It was stiff at first, but it has now softened considerably and molded to my body.

I wash it in the washing machine on a normal cycle with water and a neutral detergent. Some people may prefer not to wash their denim, but if you never wash it, body oils can damage the fabric and cause it to tear.

That is the main reason vintage denim fabric is often damaged. To make it last, it’s important to wash it with water and keep it reasonably clean.

I’ll continue enjoying how it ages.
