VANNERIE DE VILLAINES POP-UP EVENT

Starting this Friday, the 16th, we’ll be hosting a pop-up featuring VANNERIE DE VILLAINES, a basket maker whose products are handcrafted in France.

The company was founded in 1849 by around 60 basket makers living in the village of Villaines-les-Rochers in the Loire Valley of central France. Today, its baskets are made entirely by hand by 25 willow growers and 50 weavers.

In France, baskets are everyday items that are an integral part of daily life, and the company mainly produces baskets for bakeries and for home use.

Every summer, the company also makes the basket components of Hermès bags, including the Kelly Picnic, and is known as one of France’s leading workshops.

For this occasion, we’ve ordered six styles of Vannerie de Villaines baskets designed for everyday use, ranging from handled baskets to shallow styles.

Use one to hold your favorite accessories, display it at home, or even use it as a fixture in your shop—the possibilities are endless.

We hope you’ll stop by to find your favorite.
